About Us

Pacific Joinery in Artarmon was founded in 1948 and has been successively run by 3 generations of the Bowes family, from Leo and Norm to Jeff.

Pacific Joinery is so named because it was first located on the Pacific Highway in Crows Nest. It relocated in 1952 to 28 Dickson Avenue in Artarmon and again in 1989 to 25 Dickson Ave Artarmon, just across the road. Pacific Joinery is the only window and door joinery within an 8km radius.

Originally, the business provided joinery for the construction of War Service Homes for returned soldiers. Joinery included window frames, door frames, floor joists and wall frames. Services also included kitchen cupboards and benches, staircases and even some boat building was undertaken.

Whereas Pacific Joinery spent a number of years mass producing standard-sized doors and windows, it is specialised custom made joinery (traditional, modern and contemporary styles) for which we are renown. We are skilled in matching replacement joinery for restorations and damages.

Jeff is versatile, crafting fine timber windows and  doors as well as holding an electrical contractor's licence
